Before the rain came on Saturday Henry and I went to Batsford Arboretum. At the time we visited it was not busy , there was a one way systems in place and hand sanitiser on the entry desk. It was preferred that tickets were bought online. Generally there was not a lot of colour except higher up in the arboretum. The panoramic views from the highest point were beautiful in the sunshine. The photos show a couple of interesting, what I believe are magnolia fruits/tubers, can anyone help me out on these? The leaves on one tree had notably started to change colour. Near to the stream and ponds it was picturesque. The hermits cave was interesting. Leaving the arboretum we had refreshments, with the choice of purchasing from a pop-up café outside or from the restaurant which also had an outside seating area. It felt quite a safe place to visit.
