A summary of our day out from Jane C - thank you Jane.
Hottest day of the year so far. Gave the perfect picture of how it might have felt, working 8 hour shifts, in hot cramped (no air conditioning) huts. Possibly smoking was allowed.
A handsome Mansion situated in the rolling hills of Buckinghamshire.
Perfect guise, being patriotic to your country, doing such an important job.
However, if Bletchley Park had been discovered by the enemy.
There were no shelters, underground tunnels, protection for these amazing people doing a job for their country.
What could have been the outcome of WWII.
Well worth a second visit, plenty to see, tickets last for one year.
If you go on a sunny day. The grounds and scenery alone are delightful.
