Brailes Three Hills Walk – May Bank Holiday – 1st May 2017

On Bank Holiday Monday, 5 members from the walking group took part in a walking challenge. The walk is held annually on the 1st Monday in May and is a fund-raising event with the proceeds, this year, going to Brailes School and Sports Pavilion. It was a 6-miles and for most of that it was up hill, and a real challenge. The five of us managed the walk with relative ease, completing the walk in just over 2.5 hours. We were issued with an entry form, which we needed to have stamped at the top of each hill; and providing it was stamped 3 times we could receive a certificate at the end. It was an extremely well organized event and we believe there were approx 1300 people taking part, some quite young and some of mature years. The views were 360 degrees for most of the walk and were amazing. At the end of the walk we were able to reward ourselves with freshly cooked BBQ food and numerous types of cakes and pastries. Thank you to Ian for driving and instigation our participation. Pam
