Burford, Capps Lodge, Swinbrook, Widford Walk 22nd February 2022
5 members met at Carterton and travelled to Burford to meet up with 6 more members for the walk. The terrain was amazingly dry, hardly any mud or puddles. We had a very light shower and then sunshine appeared and dried off our clothes before we got back to our cars. It was a popular walk this morning with others enjoying the countryside. We did not see much wildlife, a few ducks and swans on the river at Burford, a few sheep and a Red Kite swooping down into a field. Widford was a picture in white with a mass of snowdrops in the hedgerows and on the banks. It was a refreshing walk, with the usual camaraderie and chatter. Thanks to Ian for driving.
