Cycle Ride 4th August 2020

The members of the cycling group met with apprehension and excitement  for our first ride since lockdown.  It was great to be back together as a group. We rode from Carterton, Alvescot, Black Bourton, Bampton and onto the garden centre.  There was plenty of space to social distance whilst locking up our cycles.  The garden centre had a one way system leading to the café.  Hand sanitizer was available as we entered and then more at the entrance to the café.  We waited to be seated, were asked how many there were of us, we requested a seat outside and sat at tables for 2.  Orders and payments, by card, are taken at the table and when the refreshments arrive you take them off the tray yourselves.  A notice was displayed asking that once seated to remain seated until you leave.  Retrieving our bicycles we rode back through Brize Norton and back into Carterton.  It was a happy and sociable ride that was managed easily by all.  If we are able we will hold another ride on 1st September.
