Gardening Group visit to Cotswold Lavender Fields, Snowshill

Our July meeting had a record number of 26 members visiting the Cotswold Lavender Fields at Snowshill. It was not a very warm day but at least the rain held off .  We were given a very interesting talk from the farm owner about the history of the lavender fields, the workings of the farm and the general upkeep of lavender.  We have no excuse now not  to grow wonderful lavender in our pots and gardens.  After the talk and a wander round the fields viewing and smelling the varieties grown we then went to the café for very nice refreshments.

our August visit is to Aston Potteries where we will be given a tour of the gardens by Stephen the owner who will talk about his planting and answer any questions we may have.  The date is August 30th and we can either meet in usual car park for lift share at 1.30 or meet at the potteries for 2.30.  The price of tour and talk is £4.50 but with the addition of a cream tea it is £800.  I will have to have numbers for this one so please let me know asap whether you will be coming and what option you would like.

option 1 tour and tea  £8.00

option 2 tour only       £4.50

option 3 tour with visit to tearooms but making own choice of refreshment  £4.50

I hope to see you there.
