Long Walk on Tuesday 19th October – Combe-Blenheim circular – approx 7 miles
There were 8 members travelling from Carterton and we met 4 more at Combe. It was a dry and dull morning and quite windy.
The landscape was mainly farmland and parkland. The paths were on field paths and tracks, parkland paths and estate drives; plus 2 short stretches of road walking.
Some of the field paths were slippery and the mud was sticky. In places the breeze was quite strong which made the walk slightly strenuous.
On the parkland there was evidence that it had been full of sheep in the not too distant past.
The first time since lockdown we took a 20-minute lunch stop and this is when we had our fly-past?
Thank you again to the car drivers.
Our next long walk will be on 16th November starting from Little Coxwell, approx 6 miles. Pam
