Short and Slow Walk 12th January 2022

8 Members met in the car park in the centre of Town for our slow and short walk. Todays walk was via Alvescot Road to Willow Meadow.

Along the footpath in Willow Meadow we admired a small plantation of trees from 2012, to mark the Queens Jubilee; and then on to the RAF perimeter leading into the Crescent. A number of dog walkers passed us by. We didn’t see any kites or buzzards today.

We stopped to admire the tree carvings in one of u3a members’ garden in Corbett Road. Next it was a right turn into Mayfield Close, through a few back lanes into Foxcoft Drive, Kingham Drive and back to the car park.

These walks are so beneficial as there is time to walk, talk and stop and stare.

Our next S&S walk will be from Witney and round part of Cogges.
