Well, the initial meeting of the Bopping, or whatever group has taken place. This afternoon (22/11) at 2:00pm saw over 30 people attend the meeting to decide what, how and when together with why.

There were many suggestions for a name for the group - Silver Shakers being one. But eventually we settled on Pam's People as a play on the iconic dance group from Top of The Pops. Initially Pam and Mike will run the meeting though we will be looking for help as we already run a few other groups. Especially useful would be someone who is able to play the music.

After discussion about the group we listened to a selection of music from the 50's, 60's and 70's allowing people to get up and dance, sit and sing or just talk to each other. There was some especially impressive Line Dancing on show! We finished with a Twist - Do You Love Me by Brian Poole and the Tremeloes.
