Walk on 13th February 2018

This was a belated Christmas lunch/walk.

Because the ground was muddy and sticky we waked around the streets and pathways of Carterton. There were 28 of us booked in for lunch at The Masons Arms, Brize Norton. The walk was uneventful, but with lots of chatter and some of the walkers enjoyed seeing the side streets and paths for the first time.

We walked through an area where there was a children’s play-park, if it hadn’t been so cold I think 1 or 2 would have liked to stop and go back to their childhood days.

The walk was a little longer than the 3 miles advertised, however the timing was good and we arrived at the Masons at our booked in time, where there was a friendly welcome and a nice fire burning. The meal was very good as was the service and timings. After settling our bill we all made our way home.

Our next short walk will be on 13th March at Shipton-u-Wychwood, weather permitting. Pam
