A beautiful morning for a lovely walk over open fields, a
small wood and a short distance on the road. In the wood we saw a snake, it soon slithered away into a broken tree stump. We saw deer, hares and red kites. We stopped for a short break on the top of a hill where the views were amazing. Aircraft flying out of Brize Norton were doing circuits and we had good views as they flew low over our heads.
A linear walk takes a lot more organising as cars must be left at the start and finish of the walk. It needs a car to take drivers to collect t their cars and then their passengers; Are clean shoes in the right car etc, it worked out fine today.
The end of the walk was near to Humble Bumble where we had our refreshments. Cheese scones were the favourites.
Thank you, car drivers and for everyone’s company. A great walk. Pam
