6 Mile circular Walk on 14th May 2024 – Burford, Capps Lodge, Swinbrook, Widford

It was a dull morning, cooler than of late but DRY.

The group drove to Burford and parked in the car park at the bottom of the hill by the river.

The terrain was very varied, undulating in places, some road walking, through woods, and over fields.

We took 2 short breaks for drinks and a snack.  One was near a tiny ancient church at Widford. It is worth a visit for the History dating back to Roman times.

The ground was amazingly DRY and it did not rain.

After recceing 3 walks almost knee deep in mud, this walk was enjoyable to do.

Thank you to the car drivers. Pam
