We were so lucky with the weather as it had poured the day before. A small group this morning, drove to the start of the walk at Alvescot Church. The walk was mainly over fields and on an old railway line. It was remarkable dry underfoot and the temperature was ideal for walking. In several places the terrain was covered in a carpet of acorns, and shrubs covered in berries, and we had several fly pasts (something only the walking group will understand).
After arriving back at Carterton several went for a coffee which completed a most enjoyable morning. Pam
