What a lovely morning for a walk, there were 9 of us. We left Carterton on time, our journey was good and parking was easy.

Our terrain was on quiet roads, across fields and woodland paths and tracks, with 7/8 stiles.

The fields had all been harvested and there was such a lovely vista, a colourful field of sunflowers, unfortunately they were facing away from us, and it made you feel good being out in the wide-open spaces.

Reaching Bladon church yard we stopped to eat our picnic.  For the last part of the walk through a wood a man-made path had been made covered in small stone, this was for at least a mile. A great improvement to the last time we walked it.

Lots of berries in the hedgerow especially sloes’, a number of aircraft were flying around.  A really satisfying walk.
