It was an early start for our coach party travelling to Buckingham Palace. We had a comfort stop tailored into our journey as there were not any facilities near to the Palace.

We arrived earlier than our check in time. The staff were wonderful and let us go through check-in early.  We were able to pick up an audio guide before starting our self-guided tour from the entrance hall. The route was very well marked out, and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. It felt very grand walking up the staircase to the next level.  Photography was not allowed inside the palace.

At the end of the inside visit was a café selling lots of delicious food which a few of the party enjoyed.

On the half mile walk towards the exit the gift shop was situated, where royal memorabilia, including jewellery, homeware & bags, plus a food hall & chinaware were displayed ready to be viewed an purchased.  

The gardens were only open for booked garden tours.  However, along the path to the exit you were able to see the lakes where several coots were nesting.  Reaching the road there were several Tuk Tuk’s waiting to offer their services.

Our coach arrived on time to pick us up and delivered us back to Carterton.
