From The Leys Witney to Cogges17 Members met at Cogges on a pleasant Wednesday afternoon. The walk left The Leys through the lane by St Mary’s Church, onto Church Green. It was nice walking beside the green, then crossing several roads until we came to the path leading to Cogges. Crossing a bridge over the Windrush, we stopped and watched the river racing by. The area which had been flooded was now drained of the water. Continuing on along the lane we passed Cogges Church and a Dovecot. Rounding a corner, we had a lovely view of the green space in the middle of the houses at Cogges. Before walking up a gentle incline several stopped to show their skills on the apparatus. The green was oval shaped and we walked right round this, finishing near to Cogges Farm café. It was such a lovely afternoon that we were able to have our drinks sat outside. Retracing our steps until we came to the leisure centre, then we walked up a lane to Sainsbury’s car park which led us back to The Leys. There were lots of spring flowers, red kites and an
