Short Walk Tuesday - 11th March from Buscot Village – 3.5 miles

On a dry but chilly morning 2 cars drove to Buscot where the walk was going to start from. Hazel was waiting for us.

After walking down the lane to Buscot lock and weir, the remainder of the walk was along the riverbank until we came to the Anchor bridge.

After crossing the bridge was another short stretch of lane walking.

Then it was over 3 fields (in the autumn the field’s hedges are laden with blackberries).

After a short walk on another lane, it was then over 2 fields back to the lane we had started on.

We had a variety of aircraft for our fly past”, one we believe was a Typhoon.

There were swans on the river, which had been cleared, and now gives a great view of the water.

Treetops were full of noisy rooks in their nests.

The terrain was remarkably dry.

On the way home we stopped at Blakes at Clanfield and several of their large cinnamon buns were devoured.

Thank you to our car drivers. Pam
