16 Members met at the car park for the walk.

This walk was approximately 2 miles round Carterton, winding along the pavements and pathways and through the middle of estates.  We were fortunate enough to have dry weather for the walk.  It did rain while we were having a well-rewarded coffee after the walk.  As it was the first walk of the new year there was plenty of chatting and laughter.  We did spend a short listening to a group of starlings singing in the tree tops; also two squirrels having a disagreement of whose food find it was. Our next S&S walk will be on 7th February, route tbd dependent on the weather. Pam
