Departing from Carterton on time we had a good journey to Basingstoke.
We were met by a member of staff who outlined where to find everything and then we were free to do our own thing. Audio guides were available.
There was a lot to see from the “good old days”, as far back as Victorian times.
From cobbled streets to a seaside pier with operating penny machines, an operating pub, teddy bears, a sweet shop, a Victorian school room and vintage vehicles.
The café served light lunches, cakes and the usual beverages.
It was a lovely relaxing and nostalgic visit with lots of “do you remembers” and laughs, especially standing in front of tall mirrors.
