This was an approx 5 mile walk round the Blenheim Estate on roads and lanes, which kept our feet dry not having to wade through floods. Occasional light drizzle but mostly dry with a chilly wind and very exhilarating. A shoot was taking place, and at one stage a convoy of vehicles carrying the “beaters” passed us.
The grounds have some fascinating old trees which make a lovely photograph.
At the end of the walk, we visited the Palace café and had a hot drink, some indulged in expensive pastries.
Thank you to those that walked and Freddie and Ian for driving. Angela and Minh found their own way.
Next long walk will be on 19th December, route tbd. Pam
